Dorobanți

Bucharest's elegant, restaurant-rich diplomatic quarter, prestige with depth of rental demand

About Dorobanți

Dorobanți is a grand old neighbourhood of Belle Époque and Art Deco villas on tree-lined streets, long favoured by diplomats and now one of the city's premier dining destinations, with restaurants such as Grano and La Pescăria Dorobanților tucked among the boutiques of Calea Dorobanți. Piața Dorobanți is its social heart for shopping and people-watching, while Kiseleff and Floreasca parks bracket the area and the Piața Romană and Aviatorilor metro stations put the whole city within reach. For investors Dorobanți is the sweet spot of the prime north: nearly the cachet of Primăverii but with deeper, more liquid rental demand from professionals and expats and gross yields around 4–5%. Renovated two-bedroom apartments in established streets are repeatedly named among the Bucharest property types most resilient in downturns, making this a prestige address that still works as a rental underwrite.
